Code of Conduct
CSL’s Code of Conduct (the Code) sets the standards for how we conduct business in an ethical and transparent way through our commitment to governance and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards. Aligned with our company’s Purpose and Values, the Code outlines how we:
- conduct business with the utmost integrity through a shared commitment to understand and comply with all applicable local laws and regulations in all countries in which we operate;
- maintain and communicate standards that guide our people and third parties toward appropriate decisions, even in situations that present challenging ethical dilemmas;
- follow accepted workplace relations principles, including mutual respect, non-discrimination and freedom of association;
- ensure the quality of our products and the safety of our patients, plasma donors, employees and third parties by adherence to health and safety standards, through compliance with manufacturing and other best-practice standards, and through provision of safe work environments;
- support innovation through investment in research and development focused on new and improved products, and across all aspects of our business, to deliver enduring patient impact in areas of high unmet medical need;
- execute responsible practices that minimise our environmental impacts; and
- implement guidance for creating and maintaining beneficial relationships with all the communities in which we operate.
CSL’s Code of Conduct and supplementary policies and procedures help us ensure that:
- our customers and the broader community can be confident that CSL is committed to operating with the highest integrity at all times;
- our third parties (e.g. contractors, suppliers, distributors) know what to expect from a business relationship with CSL and the expectations we have of them; and
- our employees understand both their obligations to CSL and CSL’s obligations to them.
Raising a business conduct concern
We encourage a workplace where people seek assistance if they are uncertain about what to do. We also encourage those with whom we interact, to raise queries and concerns about the way we conduct our business.
