People who live with sickle cell disease cope with a debilitating condition that alters the course of their lives. World Sickle Cell Day, June 19, is a day to raise awareness about the need for patient-focused research and innovation.
Researchers at CSL are investigating a potential new treatment for the condition and imminently will begin enrolling in a Stage 2/3 clinical trial. Earlier this month, the research program had two presentations at the Foundation for Sickle Cell Disease Research’s Annual Symposium.
