When CSL Plasma made a proactive $125,000 donation earlier this year, it was earmarked for future disaster relief in U.S. communities.

Now American Red Cross disaster relief funds are assisting in the aftermath of devastating floods that struck Missouri, Kentucky, and most recently, Texas.

The American Red Cross team shared this update with CSL about Missouri and Kentucky relief efforts.

Our teams include licensed clinical social workers and other mental health experts. We support all who are impacted, including those that have lost loved ones in addition to their homes and possessions. Beyond emotional support, the Red Cross offers financial assistance, lodging, meals and replacement medication, eyewear, and medical equipment. Our aim is to return those impacted to normal daily activity as quickly as possible. Yet, with events this devastating, recovery will take time.

Six months ago, this same region of the country suffered devastating and rare winter tornadoes. That event also took lives and leveled entire communicates. We are grateful for the support that we received from CSL Plasma.

CSL Plasma, with 300+ centers, collects plasma used solely for the manufacture of medicines developed by CSL Behring, a global biotech that serves people who have rare and serious diseases. The goal of the Red Cross donation was to support the communities that donors and employees call home, CSL Plasma General Manager Michelle Meyer said.
