Amy Van Buren
Amy Van Buren was appointed Chief People Officer at CSL in April 2026, bringing more than 25 years of Human Resources leadership experience across a broad range of industries, including medical technology, contract manufacturing, biotechnology, and luxury retail. Throughout her career, Amy has been a passionate advocate for elevating HR as a strategic driver of business performance and organizational growth.
Prior to joining CSL in 2025, Amy held multiple senior HR leadership roles at Becton Dickinson, where she led enterprise‑level HR strategy, served as a trusted business partner, and drove initiatives focused on organizational effectiveness, talent, and culture. Her experience included serving as Vice President of Human Resources for several global businesses, including the Surgery Business, Interventional Segment, and Medication Delivery Solutions Business.
In addition, Amy led the Global Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence, where she transformed the organization’s approach to talent attraction, ensuring workforce capability is intentionally aligned to enterprise strategy and long‑term value creation. She also played a critical leadership role in the successful integration of Bard into Becton Dickinson, leading the design, structure, and global deployment of a harmonized HR organization across multiple regions.
Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Organizational and Developmental Psychology. Known for aligning talent and culture strategies with business priorities, she has helped global organizations thrive through periods of significant transformation and growth.
