CSL recently opened applications for the 2024 Professor Heimburger Award, an annual program that supports specialists in coagulation, the way blood clots.

Conditions such as hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease are coagulation disorders because, in both, a person’s blood does not clot as it should, which can lead to bleeding episodes.

Applications for the 2024 award cycle are open until November 7, 2023. Visit the website to apply.

The Professor Heimburger Award is an annual grant program of €25,000 (about US $27,000) that provides support to five emerging coagulation specialists to pursue research. Over the last 17 years, there have been 80 recipients of the award, all spanning different countries, who have successful research careers within the field and are recognized for their contributions.
