Exploring Primary Immunodeficiency TV report about Traci and Ben

Traci was a fierce protector of her son, Ben, from the moment he was born. His lungs needed to be suctioned at birth and she knew that was not normal.

Ben had a primary immune deficiency, which makes him vulnerable to serious infections and requires regular treatment with a plasma-based medicine. But the story has a happy ending. Traci made sure Ben was correctly diagnosed and later investigated her own health problems, which also were due to primary immune deficiency.

Traci and Ben, now 28, recently shared their story with WBALTV 11 in Baltimore, Maryland.
