Video: A Mother-Daughter Hemophilia Story

Eke and Sterre talk about life with hemophilia, a bleeding disorder mostly associated with men. They’re advocating for more awareness and better care for the symptoms women experience.

Story

CSL’s Portraits of Progress has been sharing stories of hemophilia from all sides – patients, caregivers, researchers and now women who have the condition.

Watch our conversation with Eke and Sterre, who explain the physical impacts of hemophilia, which causes excessive bleeding – including menstrual bleeding for women – as well as bleeding in joints that can impact mobility at work or on the soccer pitch.
