Drone Video: Hitting the Bullseye in Bern

During an expansion project at CSL Behring’s facility in Bern, Switzerland, cranes delivered more than 66 tons (60,000 kilograms) of equipment through the roof. The goal was increased capacity to fill vials of medicine for patients who have rare and serious diseases.

Story

When CSL Behring wanted to expand its manufacturing capability in Bern, Switzerland, there wasn’t much open space to build upon. But planners devised a way to add more capacity to the center of the property, which meant that construction cranes would have to make 80 deliveries through an opening in the roof.

Play the video above to watch the crane hit its target and see the manufacturing line in operation today, which can turn out 4,800 vials per hour at full capacity.
