Earlier this year, Vita shared the story CSL Behring’s partnership with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to use the sport of fly-fishing and associated activities as a means of physical and emotional recovery for disabled veterans and wounded, injured and ill military service members.

David Folkerts, Chief Operations Officers for Project Healing Waters, recently recorded an episode of the World of Promise Podcast with host Anthony Farina to talk more about his organization’s mission, how it supports veterans and current military service members and his own experiences with the program.

David is a U.S. Army veteran who became involved with Project Healing Waters after being injured by an improvised explosive device while on patrol in Iraq in 2005. On the podcast, he also shares how anyone interested in getting involved in Project Healing Waters can do so.
